i will do all in Your power to forsake my ways and according to Isaiah 55:6, You are always near; regardless of the evil alliances and cookie cutter clannish cliques surrounding me who attempt to make me the pariah.  When once i made it known what bothered me, they attempted to magnify and amplify, You are near.  Help me to focus on You as You help me through Your marvelous Holy Spirit--forsake my wicked ways.  Abba Father, i know you hate it when feet run too quickly to evil and when they are so quick to shed innocent blood.  They may poison the seeds i spread to feed You birds, yet i know You'll protect and take care of them.


And knowing You'll take care of them, i know You'll take care of Your faithful and righteous ones.  i pray that You will form a way the evil ones may find peace. For our transgressions are multiplied before You, And our sins testify against us; For our transgressions are with us, And as for our iniquities, we know them. -[Isaiah 59:12]  For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak. -[Isaiah 59:17]

Help me, Abba Father, to be patient this morning.  Evil forces abound and they are tempting me to become angry and indignant.  Assure me that i am indeed doing something right when others attempt to provoke me.  Help me not to be provoked so.  Lead me on that path to live a revolutionary life.  Keep me from any culture that is ungodly and only proves to be against the Jewish people.  There are posters going up on telephone poles lately.  Now before him there was no king like him who turned to the Lord with all his heart, with all his soul, and  with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses, nor after him did any arise like him. -[2 Kings 23:25]

 As He taught them a shadow of the cross fell across the old testament and their "eyes were opened."  He was that ram at Abraham's alter.  He was that spotless Passover Lamb whose blood was shed to bring freedom from slavery and deliverance from death.  He was that scarlet thread that hung out Rahab's window.  The Shepherd King:  David spoke so much about Him in the Psalter.  He was Isaiah's suffering servant, the fourth man in the furnace with Shadrach, Meshash, and Abed-Nego.  And yet He will never vanish from my sight unless i allow it.  Jesus' purpose isn't to push Himself onto anyone.  As humans, as mortals, He wants us to come to Him.  That's probably the only Hunger He ever has!  Is for us to come to Him.  i was the other disciple walking along the road to Emmaus.  i've gone from the road to Damascus to the road to Emmaus.  i've been writing about what Christ has done for me. Having Seen the Lord on the Road

 1 Timothy:  Make sure no other doctrine is taught, no fables which cause dispute, where there is no godly edification. Timothy, prevent the spread of false teaching. Legalists cannot mix law and grace.  They engage in idle talk, having strayed with their meaningless babble.  The law is not made for the righteous person, but for the lawless, ungodly, unholy, and profane, something of which i was guilty for so long and even have the temptation to fall back into the pit from time to time.  i obtained God's mercy because i committed those wrongs in unbelief, or as a back-slider and as someone prone to worldly and fleshly desire and lust. Now i believe in Jesus Christ and only by His grace will i obtain everlasting life.  Grace by faith and trust in Him.  In Him alone.  If i were to be a young man's mentor, i would want to be a quiet encourager, a serene influence, i would want to interest him by saying as little meaningless babble as possible and lea...

When I Haven't Removed the Plank From My Own Eye

Heavenly Father, help me align myself to Your will.  Shall i take advantage of the free time and begin at the seminary?  Could i use this motel room as a sanctuary despite the distractions?  Please help me before idolatry decays my soul any further.  Don't let this defeating habit in my life rob me of my confidence in Your power to give me victory over sin making me hesitant to offer Christ as the answer to others controlled by sin.  Don't let this habit destroy my incentive to share my faith because of feeling like a hypocrite.  How could i witness to others when i haven't removed the plank from my own eye? --[Matthew 7: 1-5] Sin always results in death of some kind. It is worth the continual struggle to combat temptation.  The awful, never-ending process of combating temptation is God's means of maturing me and confirming me to the image of Christ.  To throw my hands up in defeat is to abandon the process and to miss out on life's most important...
