Jesus Has Done ALL on the Cross
Lord, bless the sound of the neighbor's toilet seat slamming down so that it reminds me of the sound of the water pump downstairs in the garage when i lived in that loft apartment in Slippery Rock. Grant me the peace, quiet, and serenity by nudging me with the Gift of Knowledge about ordering online those "earmuff" ear plugs that buffers the yap and the noise down the hall. Thank You for the fan above the stove i can use for white noise to drown out the back and forth marching of the neighbors upstairs. You have provided the nudges i need to be aware of the evil of this world that these demonic forces are only too happy to provide.
Bless me with the ability to not only overlook the differences in people but that i just don't know that they are there, that seemed to be Dad's strength. If something irritated or caught his attention and observations the way they always did me, then that was either a cause for his blessings or his death. Of course, knowing my dad, when he had his heart attack and survived and recovered, he was never in doubt that he was living on borrowed time. He had survived the shooting and explosions on Pork Chop Hill as he was the last man in his battalion to come off Pork Chop Hill. He suffered injuries i never saw, so i assumed he paid with this ability to hear. He earned the Purple Heart, but for the sake of his mother, he refused it and remained quiet about it the rest of his life.
Dear Jesus, I thank You that i must come with empty hands, that You have done all and I mean ALL on the cross, and that all i need in life or death is to be sure of this...i am, my most precious Savior. Open up another route for my love to travel. i have this desire to move on...somewhere...though i know not where. i know You love people more than i ever can and bless me even though i should drift off to sleep while talking to You and make sure i am in the Spirit before i pray. So many times before i've prayed so i could be in the Spirit. Thank You for letting me know that that's not the way it works.
