I Could Never Hold a Candle to the Likes of Solomon
God, our Father, made us and God our Savior died for us, and God the Holy Spirit, our great Comforter and Keeper, preserves us. Lord, i've been a sinner and a fallen man from the day of my consciousness. i have lived a life full of blemish and full of mistakes. i have no other things then shortcoming. Evil has attended me and dogged and hounded my steps every part of the pilgrimage of this earthly life. Guarding my heart is not the same as battling my flesh against flesh. i don't need to be so contentious back. In my flesh is no good things, so i'm going to get justice from the Lord. i must learn to treat others based on my relationship with God, who wants me to increase so that my relationship with Him inspires others.
For this reason, we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God--[Colossians 1: 9-10]
In God's eyes, i am complete. i am no longer my past. Of all things Solomon could've asked for, he asked for wisdom. In my own indirect way i was asking God for wisdom on the mound in the woods nearly two years ago. He was giving me wisdom because there i realized that i had to die; i kept repeating to myself that i must die...i know i need to die because the old man was into writing sexual perversity and looking into online pornography. In Solomon's dream God told him to ask and it shall be given. Now in a dream, i'd think i'd have asked for a car without having to pay for insurance and road tolls so i could get from MA to CO, but Solomon, a 20-year-old had the foresight to ask the Lord for wisdom. [1 Kings 3:9]
He didn't ask for a long life for himself, riches for himself, nor his enemies to be killed, but had asked for understanding to discern justice. ...I have given you a wise and understanding heart so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall anyone like you arise after you. --[1 Kings 3: 12} i could never hold a candle to the likes of Soloman.
